Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
No, Willow Women’s Health is not credentialed with and does not accept any insurance plans. We operate as a direct care practice, meaning patients pay directly for services. This model allows us to provide personalized and transparent care without the constraints often imposed by insurance companies. For more details, read Why WWH is a Direct Care Practice: Redefining Women’s Healthcare.
Important Note: Due to government regulations, we are unable to see patients covered by Medicaid for direct care services.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards for payments. For telehealth visits, payments can be made via the Clover link sent by text or through our website. Payment for all appointments is required prior to the scheduled visit.
Can labs, medications, and imaging be billed to insurance?
Yes, external services such as labs (LabCorp), medications, and imaging are billed separately by third-party providers. Insurance can typically be used for these services. It is the patient’s responsibility to confirm co-pays and costs with their insurance company.
What services are included in the appointment fee?
Our appointment fees cover in-office procedures, such as lab draws, wet mount testing, urine dip analysis, Pap smear and HPV collections, IUD or Nexplanon placements/removals, and biopsies. Please note that external laboratory fees (e.g., LabCorp) and prescriptions are billed separately and may be submitted to insurance if applicable.
How can I submit claims to my insurance for reimbursement?
While we do not process insurance claims, we can provide you with a superbill after your visit, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Additionally, you may opt to use Reimbursify, a hassle-free platform that simplifies the submission process. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your insurance provider’s policies.
What is the process for completing paperwork before my appointment?
All our paperwork is completed electronically. Upon booking your appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to our secure patient portal, where you can fill out the necessary forms. For new patients, it’s essential to complete all paperwork prior to the day of your appointment to ensure a seamless experience. Established patients should also ensure their information is up-to-date before each visit.
